As the Head Chess Coach at Chess4Life in Redmond, WA, Coach Sloan has trained several state and national champions and top finishers. He has also mentored other chess coaches in lesson planning and classroom management while being part of the Curriculum Development Team. He was responsible for finding new methods and exercises to enhance the Rook level of the Chess4life curriculum.
Coach Sloan's academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering with a Biochemical Engineering Emphasis from the University of Southern California.
