Weekly Report: 11/27/2023 - 12/1/2023

Hello parents!

Can you believe that it’s the first day of December?! It’s getting quite cold, radio stations are playing holiday music, several houses already have their Christmas lights up, and stores are constantly advertising their holiday sales – ‘tis the season! To send November off with a bang, students completed various STEM challenges like creating bird nests, testing whether objects float or not, and building insulating "tents" to prevent ice from melting. They also got a head start on some winter crafts and continued to learn about this and last month's theme of Weather.

We know that many of you will soon be off on holiday travels. We wish you safe passage both to and from your destinations, and hope that you enjoy your vacations. Be sure to keep your child engaged in their studies by completing any homework assigned by their teachers and continuing to read to/with them on a daily basis.

A few announcements and reminders:

Please read through everything carefully and add dates to your personal calendars.

  1. We are trying to establish our enrollment numbers for the 2024-2025 academic year. If you haven’t already done so, please confirm if your student will continue to attend Radiance for the upcoming school year. We will again offer Preschool, PreK, K, and Grade 1 programs with integrated gifted test prep. We will also have the same student to teacher ratio of 6:1. For details about fees, timing, etc., please refer to the e-mail sent out by Arasu on 11/19.

  1. Monthly teacher e-mails will be sent out next Friday, Dec. 8th. Please be on the lookout for them.

  1. The week before Winter Break (Dec. 11-15) we will be having a Spirit Week! Every day, students will dress up for a different theme (which have yet to be determined). If you have ideas for themes (like last week we had a pajama day), message us on WhatsApp!

  1. Progress reports will be coming out the Friday after next, Dec. 15th. They will have very detailed information about your student’s progress and achievements regarding academics, behavior, social interactions, motor skills, and more. Since these will be handed out the week after monthly teacher e-mails, the e-mails will not contain individual information about students.

  1. Don’t forget to visit our social media pages to view photos and videos from the week.
